Your Morning Ritual
A part of what I do is help coach people on changing their daily habits or rituals. The reason most people are not seeing
results or just are not happy in life is they are not doing the right things to get them the results they want and they are stuck in poor habits.
Well, the most important thing or habit you can change is your morning ritual. This by far sets the tone for the rest of your day and will create a better momentum for the rest of the day. It all starts with your daily actions which will eventually lead to what you really want out of yourself and life.
If you don’t start your day of right from the moment you wake up, then the rest of the day will become more of a challenge. Next thing you know, you’ve waisted another day when you could have used that day to move closer to your goals.
What does your morning ritual look like right now? Is it in line with your goals in life or in health and fitness? Or are you rushing just to get out the door to start your hecktic day. Maybe just have time for a quick cup of coffee and throw on the news to see the weather or hear about who got shot in the projects or watch some silly news personality doing a skit. Then rush the kids out of the house so they get to school on time.
So what happens to you? You’re rushed, a little stressed and eventually you get hungry a few hours later and end up reaching for the muffins and donuts at the office.
Your morning ritual is what sets the tone for a productive day to improve yourself both physically and mentally. The morning is actually the perfect time to set yourself up for success each and everyday. But you have to change your morning ritual!

Let’s take a look at a morning ritual that will set you up for success both physically and mentally:
- If time is a problem, get yourself to bed a half hour earlier and then wake up a half hour earlier to give yourself more time. Might be a little challenging at first, but you will adjust to it. Besides, with a better morning ritual you will begin to wake up with more energy and vigor.
- Next is what you eat. Now I know many of you will tell me Greg I’m just not hungry or feel like making anything. Well my answer to that is start to train yourself little by little to eat. Now is the best time to start your metabolism working. It will also help ward off those late night hunger snacks. Start with some fruit or yogurt, that’s not too heavy.
- The morning is a great time to start your day by feeding your mind something positive. Try turning off the news, because you are not missing anything trust me. Spend a few minutes either mediatating or brainstorming. This will probably be your one moment of peace before the day starts. You may also want to get some good reading in.
- Make a list of things to accomplish and get done for the day. Preperation=less worry=less stress=SUCCESS

Changing and focusing on improving your morning ritual can have a huge affect on the rest of your day and eventually your life. Trust me, my morning ritual is what allows me to find my success is the physical and mentally bring myself further.
