The Art of Detachment

You may have heard this word detachment of something being in negative terms.

My use of the word detachment or detaching oneself from the equation has a more useful meaning.

You see most of the time when we make a decision whether it’s what food we should eat or how to react to someone else’s stupidity, we act on pure emotion. That however could get us in trouble and lead to more problems.

What I would like to share with you is what I think to be a better and safe way of making immediate decisions. That is to detach yourself for a moment, pretend for a minute you are a friend to yourself and advise yourself.

Detach and remove yourself from any emotion. It’s our emotions that usually take over immediately and cause us to react. These emotions are powerful and should be watched.

It’s way too easy for those negative feelings to take over. That’s why it’s so important to watch what you are surrounded by at all times. If you listen to or surround yourself around negativity, your decision making becomes harder and harder due to your self-conscious mind planting seeds of fear, doubt and scarcity.

But…if you pay attention to your surroundings, protect what you take in on a daily basis and surround yourself with positive reinforcement, you then begin to create an inner force of clarity, focus and abundance. Then detachment becomes something more easily practiced and you can begin to make sound and clear decisions that will begin to bring your life in a better place, allowing you to achieve better health, relationships and life.

8 Pillars to a Successful Life

Last week on Sunday I made of list of goals that I really wanted to work on a weekly basis that would push me further to a more successful life.

I know that if I keep this list up where I can see it on a daily basis and stay focused on theses goals that everything in life will improve.  It’s important to make a daily conscious effort to stay in line with the goals set before you.

I’m also going to give you examples of each what I actually did to move forward with what I call…The 8 Pillars to a Successful Life.

Your Morning Ritual

A part of what I do is help coach people on changing their daily habits or rituals. The reason most people are not seeing results or just are not happy in life is they are not doing the right things to get them the results they want and they are stuck in poor habits.

Well, the most important thing or habit you can change is your morning ritual.  This by far sets the tone for the rest of your day and will create a better momentum for the rest of the day.  It all starts with your daily actions which will eventually lead to what you really want out of yourself and life.

The other day I was thinking about what are the top 3 things people seek and wish they had. I came up with love, money and health.
